Nino Ermocida (Badolato, 26.3.1923 – 29.7.1987) emigrated from Badolato in the late 1950s, where he was engaged in commercial activities, to live in Switzerland, where he worked as an Anatomy-pathologist.

Endowed with artistic talent and ability, using the technique of enamel painting on plexiglass, he created valuable paintings until his death, which are a valid expression of a conceptual art not commonly seen, receiving numerous important recognitions from institutions and universities in Europe and also in America.

His wife, Mrs. Arlett Cecile Savioz, and his family, in order to honor the memory of the departed relative and to provide anyone with the opportunity to enjoy his works, have set up a permanent exhibition in the family palace in Vico I San Domenico (formerly Scuteri Palace), where several dozen beautiful works by our artist are displayed.
