Nino Ermocida (Badolato, 26.3.1923 – 29.7.1987) emigrated at the end of the fifties from Badolato, where he worked in commerce, to Switzerland, where he worked as an anatomical pathologist.
Endowed with artistic talent and ability, using the technique of enamel painting on plexiglass, he created until his death valuable paintings that are a valid expression of a conceptual art not commonly seen, receiving numerous important recognitions from institutions and universities in Europe and also in America.
His wife, Mrs. Arlett Cecile Savioz, and his family, in order to honour the memory of the deceased relative and to give everyone the opportunity to enjoy his works, have created a permanent exhibition in the family palace in Vico I San Domenico (formerly Scuteri Palace), where several dozen beautiful works by our artist are displayed.
